Changing a core feature like email notifications is risky. One wrong move and you could break thousands of existing booking workflows.

For users with customized emails: We preserved every customization under “Custom” mode on each scheduling link. Nothing changed, nothing broke.

For users with default emails: We automatically set them to “Use Default” mode, pulling from the new admin panel.

We had a remarkable year in 2023, starting with the successful launch of our first product, neetoCal. We quickly reached over 500 subscribers on LinkedIn and made significant improvements to our products. Additionally, we introduced new initiatives such as neeto Design shots and decisions, and started building our presence on YouTube and Instagram, and gave our website a complete revamp.

neetoCal gained traction swiftly after its launch, and our users have conducted a total transaction value of 1,07,022.30 while efficiently managing their meetings. Throughout the year, we published 37 blogs covering a range of topics, from product updates and marketing initiatives like design shots and decisions to more general subjects such as interest rate movements and optimizing mental health through scheduling software.

1. Plans

We've finally added plans to processes and addons! When creating new processes or provisioning new addons, you can select the appropriate plan based on the load you're expecting on your app. You can also upgrade the plans of existing apps if you want your apps to be able to handle a higher load.

2. Maintenance mode

With the new maintenance mode, you can take your projects down for maintenance and let your users know to check back later! Maintenance mode will come in handy for doing database plan upgrades to ensure that everything is done gracefully without errors or data loss for end users.

3. Database exports and imports for the add-ons

Last time, we introduced database exports for the PostgreSQL addons. We're excited to announce that we now support export and import for all the supported addons - PostgreSQL, Redis and Elasticsearch. You also get the option to turn on scheduled backups, with which you can backup your addon at a particular time every day.

4. Reduced build and release time drastically with caching

We're excited to announce that the time taken to build and release your applications has been brought down drastically. neetoDeploy now uses internal registry-based caching to optimize how your code is built and deployed.

5. Public APIs

We've added API keys for neetoDeploy's public APIs, with which you can handle certificates and domains for your application.

6. CLI improvements

In the previous update, we announced the neetoDeploy CLI. Since then, we've added many new features to the command line tool. We've increased security by adding console session tokens to authenticate users when they are accessing the shell of a deployed application. We also have a new and improved login page for authenticating your account when you setup the CLI.

7. General optimization

We are working to make the entire experience of using neetoDeploy smooth and stable. We've improved how the logs are streamed to the dashboard and to the CLI and handled edge cases in streaming logs from multiple containers simultaneously. You can set your own custom health check URLs for your app, which will be used internally to make sure that your app's containers are running before its marked as ready. We've improved how callbacks are sent across the different components of neetoDeploy to increase efficiency and make deploying applications an easy breeze.

1. Task calendar view

Tasks are used for your day-to-day activities, such as taking follow-ups with leads, sending emails etc. With the task calendar view's introduction, it has become easy to manage your tasks. A calendar view would be helpful to check your availability for a day, week or month. You can now create tasks directly from the calendar view based on your availability.

2. Auto-fill new lead details from mails

In neetoCRM you can create a new lead from a mail. With the autofill lead details feature, now when you try to create a lead on the mail's show page, by default, it would take the mail sender details into consideration and fill up lead's form for you.

3. Lead/Deal inactive days configuration

We have added a default filter, "No activity > 30 days," for tracking inactive leads/deals. A lead/deal is marked as inactive when no activity has been performed on it for a certain number of days. The activity could be adding notes, creating tasks, sending emails etc. You can configure the number of days after which the lead/deal would be marked as inactive. By default, it is set to 30 days.

4. Won/Lost deal feature

You can now close a deal in neetoCRM by marking it as won or lost. We have default filters for won and lost deals, which helps you keep track of closed deals.

5. Task notification email

You can now enable daily notifications for your tasks at your preferred time. Once this is enabled, you will receive a daily email at your preferred time with the list of overdue tasks and upcoming tasks for the day.

1. Workflows User-Interface

neetoGit now provides you a user-friendly interface for workflows. You can view conditions and actions associated with a workflow by clicking on the 'workflow' row.

It also provides a convenient bulk deletion functionality, efficiently deleting multiple workflows with a single click.

2. Conditions for workflows

Workflows offer a wide range of conditions, allowing you to create workflows with various sets of conditions.

You can choose whether 'all' of the above conditions must be true or if it's enough for 'any' of the above conditions to be true.

Here is a list of available conditions:

1. Issue is closed

2. Issue is open

3. Pull request is closed

4. Pull request is open

5. Opened by

6. Check is passed

7. Label is present

8. Review app deployed successfully

Conditions with parameter

1. Opened by: It checks whether the issue or pull request is opened by the specified user or not, based on the given username.

   

2. Check is passed: It verifies whether the specified CI check has passed or not.

   

3. Label is present: It verifies whether the specified label is present on the issue or pull request.

   

3. Real-world use cases of workflows

Consider a scenario where you need to add a specific label eg: engineer-needed to every newly opened issue. In such cases, you can utilize 'workflows' to automate this task by creating a workflow as shown below.

• The CI checks pass.

• The review app is successfully deployed.

• A specific label is present on the pull request.

At neeto, we are building many products, and each product presents its own design challenges. Upon discovering the issue, we discuss it internally and come to a solution. During the discussions, we look at various trade-offs, ask folks what they think about it, and we make a call. Sometimes, we make a good call, and sometimes, our calls are wrong, and we need to start from the drawing board to solve the problem.

So far, all that goes into making the decision is unknown to the folks outside of neeto. With this new series, others would get to see how we make "design decisions". Hence, the name of the series is "neeto design decisions".

We want to mention that we are very much inspired by the Live design review video by Jason Fried. Inspired by videos like that, we are sharing how design decisions are made at neeto.

Currently, we are live with these six products - neetoChat, neetoDesk, neetoKB, neetoForm, neetoInvoice & neetoCal.

Here are some high-level metrics for these products. All the data is for September 2023. This data excludes the records created by people working at the company.

• Number of new organizations created in the last month: 85 (down 22%)

• Number of form submissions in the neetoForm: 113 (up 135%)

• Number of invoices generated in neetoInvoice: 29 (up 7%)

• Number of chat conversations generated in neetoChat: 11 (down 80%)

• Number of chat messages generated in neetoChat: 50 (down 81%)

• Number of tickets created in neetoDesk: 771 (up 154%)

• Number of new articles created in neetoKB: 257 (down 16%)

• Number of new meeting links created in neetoCal: 56 (up 51%)

• Number of meetings booked using neetoCal: 342 (up 36%)

Payment metrics

The total payment units(across all currencies) collected using neetoCal was 10,456. Here is the breakdown.

• 25.00 USD

GBP is the currency of England.

Revenue

We earned zero revenue in September 2023.
